Mrs. Onyinye Lorraine Ahuchogu, FIMC holds B.Sc. Psychology, PGD Financial Management Technology and MBA Management. She is a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants IMC-Nigeria. Until her retirement from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), she served as Director, Trade and Exchange Department. She is a consummate and seasoned executive with about 34 years of diverse experience in policy formulation, implementation, monitoring and regulation. Mrs. Onyinye began her career in CBN as Assistant Manager in Owerri branch where she managed several offices such as Banking, Treasury and Currency. Mrs. Onyinye headed the Import and Trade Relations Office and the Foreign Exchange Management Division. Before becoming Director. Trade and Exchange Department (TED) of the CBN. In the course of her service with the CBN on the mandate of price stability, She initiated and formulated several processes and guidelines such as. Improvement procedures for the Foreign Exchange Management Division. Guidelines on International Money Transfer Operations in Nigeria. She also served in several national-level committees such as, Presidential Fuel Subsidy Remittance Committee led by Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede in 2012. Member of the Presidential Trade Malpractices Committee. Member, Inter-ministerial Benchmark Price of Imported Rice Committee. Member, Inter-ministerial Committee on Review of Importation of Petroleum Products Documentation process Year 2012. Mrs. Onyinye is a Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and Associate member of Women in Business and Management (Wimbiz).
